Nauvoo–Colusa Community Unit School District 325 is a school district headquartered in Appanoose Township, just east of Nauvoo, Illinois. It serves northwestern Hancock County, including the city of Nauvoo and the unincorporated community of Colusa. It operates Nauvoo–Colusa Elementary School and Nauvoo–Colusa Junior High School.
In 2006, Alton High School moved to a new facility at the site of the former J.B. Johnson Elementary School and Vocational Center. At the same time, the district's three middle schools, North Middle, West Middle, and East Middle, were merged to form Alton Middle School, which is located at Alton High School's former campus.
Public primary and secondary education in Alabama is under the overview of the Alabama State Board of Education as well as local oversight by 67 county school boards and 60 city boards of education. Together, 1,541 individual schools provide education for 743,364 elementary and secondary students. [20]

The County Line Elementary school serves grades K through sixth with the enrollment in 2019-2020 being 263. [2] The County Line Elementary Principal, ABC Coordinator, Federal Coordinator is Linda Teague. [3] The elementary school offers an after school program; however, they do not offer before school, weekend, summer programs.
As of 2024, the student body is 72.7% White and 9.8% Black, with a minority enrollment of 27.3%. [7] In 2007 district officials felt alarmed as 22% of the total number of students were white, and a hotly-debated proposal to require more students to return to attendance zones was raised.
The Baldwin County Board of Education oversees most public schools in Baldwin County, Alabama, and is based in Bay Minette, Alabama. The Board serves the entire county. Over 30,000 students are within the supervision of the Board. 3,400 employees including 2,100 classroom teachers, serve the students at its campuses.
