Destiny 2: The Final Shape is a major expansion for Destiny 2, a first-person shooter video game by Bungie.Representing the eighth expansion and the seventh year of extended content for Destiny 2 and 10th year of content for the Destiny franchise, it was released on June 4, 2024, after being delayed from its original February 2024 date.
Prior to the release of Destiny 2 in September 2017, Bungie said that they had already begun work on post-release content. Bungie said they planned on providing post-release content at a quicker rate than that of the original Destiny, which was criticized for not having enough content post-launch and between each of its expansions' releases.
