The video for "The Garden" debuted on 21 March 2009, with all members singing lead vocals. The video for the song was shot at the Greenwich Maritime Museum, South London. The video is black and white and shows the band dressed in black performing the song. The video is interspersed with blurred images of people going about their daily lives.
The song was placed on the Radio 1 A List on 16 February 2011 where it remained for six weeks. [15] The band performed the song live on the Dutch talk show Life4You on 20 March 2011, and in Germany at the ECHO Awards on 24 March. Take That also performed the song along with "The Flood" on the Danish edition of The X Factor on 25 March 2012.
The accompanying music video for the song was directed by David Amphlett. It is a montage of childhood moments of Take That caught on camera and features photographs of the members as children. Most of the footage is taken from the band performing live, backstage at gigs or on tour.

It was the second live performance of the song, after they performed the song on ITV's Take That Come to Town.
