Atticus Matthew Cowper Ross was born in the Ladbroke Grove area of London on 16 January 1968, [2] the son of Roxana Rose Catherine Naila and Radio Caroline co-founder Ian Cowper Ross. [3] His maternal grandfather was diplomat Miles Lampson, 1st Baron Killearn (1880–1964), who was the grandson of fur merchant Curtis Lampson (1806–1885). [ 4 ]
