Exit 36 from Interstate 77 provides access to NC 150 and downtown Mooresville. Exits 33 and 42 from Interstate 77 provide access to US 21, while Exit 42 also connects with NC 115. Exits 31 (Langtree Road) and 35 (Brawley School Road) also connect I-77 with Mooresville.
Rivers of Life was founded in 1967 in Quilmes, a suburb of Buenos Aires, Argentina by the Spanish nationals Jorge Pradas and Oscar Mirón along with others. Mirón had moved to Argentina to flee the persecution of evangelical Christians in Spain under Francisco Franco.
A variety of floor plans were built over the time of construction. The earliest homes, shown on the 1902 and 1908 Sanborn maps of Mooresville, were mainly 3-room, T-shaped houses with front and back porches. In 1916–17, the mill added 4- and 5-room houses. Architectural styles represented are American Craftsman and Colonial Revival.
The church building is a one-story, three bay by five bay, Late Italianate style frame building. It features an entrance tower with louvered vents, four cross gables with wooden finials at the peak, and bracketed eaves. Also on the property is the contributing session house, built about 1884, and the church cemetery with about 250 gravestones. [2]
