Play is a 1991 album by the British new wave group Squeeze.It is the band's ninth album, and their only released by Reprise Records.It is the first LP in the Squeeze discography to feature only four official members instead of five (Steve Nieve took on many of the keyboard duties that would have gone to Jools Holland in the past).

Founded by Glenn Tilbrook (guitar, vocals), Chris Difford (guitar, vocals), Jools Holland (keyboards) and Paul Gunn (drums), the group have released 15 studio albums, 14 compilation albums, 4 live albums, 1 extended play, 48 singles and 34 music videos.
The band's founding members in March 1974 were Chris Difford (guitar, vocals, lyrics), and Glenn Tilbrook (vocals, guitar, music). Difford claims that in 1973, he stole 50p from his mother's purse to put a card in a local sweetshop window to advertise for a guitarist to join his band, although he was not actually in a band at the time.
