Windy City Rollers is a women's flat-track roller derby league located in Chicago, Illinois.Founded by Juanna Rumbel (Elizabeth Gomez) and Sister Sledgehammer (Kelly Simmons) in 2004, Windy City is the first flat-track roller derby league established in Chicago, and is a founding member of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).
The tournament can be interpreted as the women's counterpart of both the IIHF World Junior Championship and the IIHF World U18 Championship, though it is afforded significantly less in terms of resources or promotion than either of the junior men's tournaments. Houston Roller Derby consists of four home teams [11] that play within the league as well as against visiting teams from other WFTDA leagues. Houston Roller Derby also has an all-star travel team, formerly called HaRD Knocks but now referred to as the all-stars, which was formed in 2006 to play against other WFTDA leagues across the U.S. and in WFTDA tournaments and competitions. The 2023 Girl's EuroHockey U18 Championship was the 12th edition of the Girls' EuroHockey U18 Championship. It will be held from 8 to 16 July 2023 in Krefeld, Germany at the Crefelder Hockey and Tennis Club 1890. [1] [2] Germany is the current champion.
