Moomin [a] is a Dutch-Japanese [1] [2] anime television series produced by Telecable Benelux B.V. and animated by Telescreen Japan. Based on the Moomin novels and comic strips by the Finnish illustrator and author Tove Jansson and her brother Lars Jansson, [3] it was the third anime adaptation of the property and the first to receive distribution in different countries worldwide.
Alfred J. Kwak [a] is a children's animated comedy-drama television series based on a Dutch theatre show by Herman van Veen, produced by Telecable Benelux B.V. in co-production with VARA, ZDF, Televisión Española, TV Tokyo, and animated by Telescreen Japan, and first shown in 1989.
Hugo was voiced by Jesper Klein in the original Danish release, his singing voice was provided by Mek Pek and Bronson Pinchot in Miramax dub. Rita; Rita is a young red fox who befriends Hugo on the streets of Copenhagen. She is kind, streetwise, spunky, and has a decent amount of common sense, unlike Hugo, who is rather impulsive.
The channel is broadcasting free-to-cable, and all content is dubbed in Dutch. The channel features a mix of original sitcoms, teen drama series, animation movies and original movies (presented as DCOMs). The Indian Hindi-language dub of the first two seasons was based on the syndicated dub, even using Saban Entertainment's score and a Hindi-language version of the "Rock the Dragon" theme song, instead of the original Japanese music like most other non-English dubs. [25] This dub began airing on the Indian version of Cartoon Network in 2001.
The anime is divided into three official arcs, the Tamagotchi Town Chapter for the first series, the Dream Town Chapter for the 2nd series and the Tamagottsun Chapter for the 3rd series. Alongside the main story, several mini-segments were officially shown throughout the anime, with each segment differs from season to season.
