Harmon Craig was born () March 15, 1926 in Manhattan, in New York City, [1] to John Richard Craig, Jr. and Virginia (Stanley) Craig. [9] He was named after his uncle, Harmon Bushnell Craig (1895-1917), but does not use his middle name. [1]: 5 Harmon Craig's grandparents on his father's side were actors, directors and producers.
