Planet Hollywood Las Vegas (formerly the Aladdin) is a casino hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, United States. It is owned and operated by Caesars Entertainment . The resort includes a 64,470 sq ft (5,989 m 2 ) casino and 2,494 hotel rooms.
The property was chosen because of its proximity to the Planet Hollywood, Cosmopolitan, and CityCenter resorts, in an area where an estimated 80,000 pedestrians pass by each day. [2] The building was designed by SH Architecture. General contractor Penta Building Group began construction of the three-story Harmon Corner in February 2011.
The $400,000 project included a parking lot with 12 parking spaces and two loading areas for buses and limousines, as well as a paved walkway leading from the parking to the sign viewing area. [9] The improvements were successful, and the small parking lot was soon overwhelmed by an ever-increasing number of visitors to the sign.
