The Edmonton Prospects are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada.They play in the Western Canadian Baseball League.The team was founded in 2005 as the Edmonton Big River Prospects but moved to the Edmonton suburb of St. Albert after only one year of use of Telus Field with the Edmonton Cracker-Cats of the Northern League.

Rockford previously had a team in the Frontier League called the RiverHawks (2002-2009). There was no Rockford team in the Frontier League in 2010 as the team played in the independent Northern League. A separate RiverHawks franchise then returned to the Frontier League in 2011 and changed the team name to the Aviators in 2013. [1]
The Edmonton Stingers played their inaugural game on May 10, 2019 against the Niagara River Lions, winning 118-105. [3] In their debut season, the Stingers were eliminated in the semifinals. In the 2020 season , Edmonton won its first CEBL championship after beating the Fraser Valley Bandits in the final, 90–73. [ 4 ]
