Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher (also known as Nick Freno) is an American sitcom television series starring comedian Mitch Mullany that aired on The WB from August 28, 1996, to May 3, 1998. The series was created and executive produced by Dennis Rinsler and Marc Warren who drew on their own experiences as former teachers in New York City.

Mitchell Paul Mullany (September 20, 1968 – May 25, 2008) was an American stand-up comedian, actor, screenwriter, and author. Mullany was best known for his portrayal of White Mike in the 1990s comedy sitcom The Wayans Bros and as Nick Freno in the sitcom Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher, which both aired on The WB.
She was later discovered and starred regularly in the WB's Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher. Later she had guest spots on Mad About You, 7th Heaven, The West Wing (in "The Stackhouse Filibuster"), Strong Medicine, and ER. She has also starred in several TV movies and had minor roles in several motion pictures such as Sleepless in Seattle and Avalon.
