The Brooks Lake Lodge, also known as the Brooks Lake Hotel and Diamond G Ranch, as well as the Two-Gwo-Tee Inn, is a recreational retreat in Fremont County, Wyoming near Dubois in the upper Wind River valley.
Brooks Lake and Brooks River were named in 1919 by Robert Fiske Griggs, after Alfred Hulse Brooks, the geologist in charge of exploring and mapping the Territory of Alaska. The peaks are also a backdrop at historic Brooks Lake Lodge and Brooks Lake. The nearest town is Dubois, Wyoming , 22 miles to the southeast. The mountain's toponym has been officially adopted by the United States Board on Geographic Names , [ 4 ] and was in use in 1914 as "Pinnacle Butte" when published in an USGS bulletin.

The camp was established in 1929 by Dubois businessman Oliver Ernest Stringer who designed the camp and assisted in its construction. Stringer had previously been involved in the construction of the Brooks Lake Lodge, where he built furniture. [2] Stringer came to Dubois in 1901 with his mother, sister and three older brothers.
