Columbia Sussex began operation as Columbia Development in 1972 with the construction of a single Days Inn location in Richwood, KY. Rapid expansion followed and by 1978 the company was renamed Columbia Sussex and was the largest Days Inn franchisee with 14 locations many with restaurants named after the founder's wife, Marty.

Buxted Park is an 84.7 hectare (206.16 acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest, located near the village of Buxted, East Sussex, England. [1] [2] The main house is just over 0.5 km northeast of the town of Uckfield. The site was notified in 1989 under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
East Sussex is a county in South East England. It is bordered by Kent to the north-east, West Sussex to the west, Surrey to the north and the English Channel to the south. [3] It has an area of 1,725 km 2 (666.0 sq mi) [4] and a population as of 2018 of 552,000. [5] As of July 2019, there are 26 LNRs in East Sussex. [6]
Arlington Reservoir is a 100.4-hectare (248-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Hailsham in East Sussex, England. [1] [2] It is also a Local Nature Reserve and it is owned and managed by South East Water. [3] [4]
Ockenden Manor has been operated by the Historic Sussex Hotels group since 1987. [1] [2] The building itself is a Grade II* listed Elizabethan era country manor, dating from 1520. [citation needed] It won a Michelin star in 2001 under Martin Hadden, who left shortly afterwards to set up his own restaurant called The Priory House.
