COSMOTE MOBILE TELECOMMUNICATIONS (Greek: COSMOTE ΚΙΝΗΤΕΣ ΤΗΛΕΠΙΚΟΙΝΩΝΙΕΣ) known as just Cosmote is the largest mobile network operator in Greece. The company is headquartered in Athens and is a fully owned subsidiary of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE) , the incumbent telecommunications provider in Greece.
COSMOTE completes acquisition of Telemobil S.A. (Zapp) in Romania. OTE introduces Conn-x TV, which is based on IPTV technology. Michael Tsamaz, CEO of OTE Group's mobile arm COSMOTE, assumes the position of OTE President & CEO. OTE delists from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).
Mobile broadband offers are available from all three national mobile phone operators Cosmote, Vodafone Greece and WIND Hellas, with more than 1 Gbit/s [14] downlink speeds. Mobile broadband was heavily marketed during 2008 by all three, leading to a surge in mobile Internet usage, primarily with mobile professionals and young users.

It was founded as Albanian Mobile Communications (or AMC) and was part of the COSMOTE Group since 2000. In 2015, the company joined the Deutsche Telekom group after which it was rebranded as Telekom Albania .
Wind Hellas (formerly TELESTET Hellas and later also TIM Hellas) was a Greek integrated telecommunications provider with headquarters in Athens, Greece.. As of September 2010, Wind was the third largest mobile operator in Greece (after Cosmote and Vodafone) with more than 4.4 million active subscribers. [2]
