Robert A. Rankl (born c. 1976) is an American college football coach. He is the head football coach for Alfred University, a position he has held since 2014. [1] [2] [3] He previously was a long-time assistant for Alfred for fifteen years. [4]
He is the head football coach for Alfred State College, a position he has held since 2018. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] He also coached for Albion , Alfred , [ 3 ] [ 4 ] and Hartwick . [ 5 ] He played college football for Albion as a fullback .
Alfred University was founded as a non-sectarian select school by Seventh Day Baptists. [6] In 1836, Bethuel C. Church, a Seventh Day Baptist, was asked to organize a college in Alfred and began teaching, receiving financial assistance from the Seventh Day Baptist Educational Society with resources, in part, from "Female Educational Societies" of local churches.
