He broke all Alfred passing records, completing 259 of 604 passes for 4,085 yards and 36 touchdowns in 24 games from 1969 to 1971. Alfred University was founded as a non-sectarian select school by Seventh Day Baptists. [6] In 1836, Bethuel C. Church, a Seventh Day Baptist, was asked to organize a college in Alfred and began teaching, receiving financial assistance from the Seventh Day Baptist Educational Society with resources, in part, from "Female Educational Societies" of local churches. [7]
In 1997, Moretti was named athletic director for Alfred University. [15] In 1999, he was a part of the administration that dropped track and field from its athletic program. [ 16 ] He resigned in 2012.
