Receiving this message for the ps5 vr2 headset recently, too. It doesn't seem like I can buy anything from the direct store at all. This adds to the frustration since playstation direct is the only storefront offering pre-orders at all for vr2. Buying from another retailer is not even possible.

PS Direct Shipping Time. Was lucky enough to get the PS5 yesterday on PlayStation direct, I chose expedited shipping 1-2 day. How long do they usually take to ship out the console. I’ve keep checking like every 30 minutes, I’m too excited!!
When my timer reached zero it opened a box to click to take me to the PlayStation Direct page to purchase a PS5. It warned that after ten minutes, the box would disappear. Click it as soon as it loads. The page loaded into PlayStation Direct and I had the option to add the different console models into my cart or any other peripherals I wanted.
I think the Sony Direct is literally an absolute gamble. I have a higher trophy score than almost everyone on my friends list, and have spent too much money on PSN, and still haven’t been selected in any of the raffles. A friend got selected twice and missed the login time both times. And Sony says they pick people based on PlayStation interests.

So basically to use PayPal credit on the PS direct store for larger purchases, the only way is to go on your PlayStation, remove the PayPal account from the payments and subscriptions options, then set it back up again. You do this via a mobile phone with QR code, only this time when you’re prompted for which source to use, choose PayPal ...
Sony is a pretty unknown company sounds like a big risk. Yes ps direct is legit. They are the direct offical playstion online store. My dualsense charging dock came from them. If you can get to a ps5 order it. Playstation direct is real but Sony Playstation direct is fake selling ps5.
