[2] A post office called Livermore has been in operation since 1871. [3] According to tradition, the community's name is an amalgamation of the names of settlers Livernash and Moore.
The Stanolind Recycling Plant was in operation as early 1947. [32] Another early recycling mill was Waste Techniques, built in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania in 1972.
