In 1926, this became the focus of White City Park. The size of the pond was reduced to about half its former size, a fountain was added and the 10 acres (4.0 ha) area of the park was landscaped. East Central competes in Oklahoma 5A athletics. Sports teams compete as the East Central Fighting Cardinals (The football team is also known by The Sharks).
