Hi, I had that surgery 5 weeks ago today. They were just supposed to move the ulnar nerve but the nerve was so stretched out that they had to cut the muscles and then move the nerve. I wore a 1/2 cast for about 3 weeks and haven't worn anything since. I will admit I did not expect the pain that I had after the surgery.

Currently 5 weeks after now. I do wish the numbness would go, I had the op to avoid numbness not get it! It does hurt if I bite the finger which is an improvement. I can manage to do things like pressups without pain but you can feel the nerve isn't happy with it. The forearm does seem rather tight in the area around the nerve.

I have an appointment May 22 with my surgeon. Should I try to have him do another surgery and maybe move the nerve like he originally planned to do? I had an EMG in 2008 and somehow passed. I again had one in 2009 and failed miserably! he said the nerve is so severely damaged, he doesn't understand how I even passed the one in 2008.
