PSA about Tai bwo wannai cleanup. So I'm not sure if this is super common knowledge. But I just found out tonight that if you kill jungle spiders just north of the village, (after repairing a fence and talking to murcailly) you get favour. Extremely fast and 100% afk if you want. I re aggrod them twice and got 100% favor in about half an hour.
Sort by: Dr_Ben. • 8 yr. ago. You should get 100%, buy a gout tuber and bring like 15 cut opals (keep 3 unnoted)and an axe and a regular machete. Get 100% favor, sell all the opals but the 3 unnoted to the shop in the favor area for trading sticks, then go talk to the guy in the smith shop, go through the dialog and get an opal machete.
Lave Runecrafting is the worst activity. I don't actually hate TBWC. There's plenty of things in the game I think are more dead or less fun than TBWC. Maybe I am crazy but I find it kind of relaxing. Totally agree on complaint based economy though.

Which jungle type should I chop in tai bwo wannai cleanup? Dense, medium, or light? Objective is to get favor as fast as possible. Woodcutting level 61. Cutting light jungle is the fastest favor. Fastest of the jungle chopping options, apparently spiders are just way better tho.
Update for Anyone who finds this post in the future: The issue was that I had started Making Friends With my Arm but hadn't progressed past the Tai Bwo Wananai Village part. This caused Murcaily to not have the option about trading sticks. The option was there once I progressed past that point in the quest.
Think you need to do a little bit of cleanup. Is the UI that shows your favor displayed when you try this? Also make sure you fix at least one fence. If none of that works maybe try talking to murcaily and going through some of his dialogs about the game. 2. Reply. Award. Share. JediLincoln14.

Highlight "Jungle spider" in OSB Monster Marker. Kill using blowpipe to gain favour. Full favour takes <15 minutes.
