I plan to only use the legacy cans and mounts on my AR style rifles. I plan on allocating two new suppressors to my bolt guns and occasionally a LR308 via direct thread. The 51T adapter just released By AAC has been supposedly engineered to have a positive lockup with no wobble.
I purchased an AAC SD 7.62 about four years ago. This was my first suppressor and I was never happy using it on my bolt rifle because the zero shift wasn’t always consistent. If I had known more then about different suppressors, I would have gone a different route.
Aac offers a recore/conversion service for $700 that will essentially convert my sdn6 into a ranger 7, removing about 3/4", 6oz, and making it a tubeless design that can handle magnum rounds, and slapping a fresh warranty and customer support back on the suppressor.
