Melissa Etheridge contributed three songs to the film. In the film, the adventures of bear brothers Kenai and Koda continue.

[10] In 2002, the special was released on DVD by GoodTimes, also in a double-feature with The Berenstain Bears' Christmas Tree. [5] In 2008, Sony Wonder also released the special on DVD.
