The joyous times of collecting sanely priced C&R surplus firearms is dead. And please spare me the "They aren't making them anymore" nonsense. They weren't making them anymore in 1990 either. It's just that now people think their run of the mill cobbled together crap guns are worth two and three times what they're actually worth.
A good while ago they had a chief of police who knew how to apply for grants and military surplus. I know that he got a couple of 50 cal rifles and a bunch of m16's or m4's . I also believe he acquired a mrap also. He has passed away now but I wonder if it was those items.
