Was there for 7 days earlier this month, and had dinner at Katsuya Baha Mar ($208+ tip included at 15% automatically) on site as well as other places off resort. So $500 can go fast over a long week-end. From a budget POV, we sprinkled in some meals in the lounge for 3 nights to spare the wallet a bit.
Posts: 1,865. The Baha Mar project was definitely still under serious construction when I was staying at the Sheraton next door in May. I didn't know Hyatt had anything to do with it, though, most of it is being built with a seriously Chinese flavour (e.g. three Chinese banks have constructed brand new branches right across the street from the ...
Grand hyatt Baha Mar now category 4 or 15k points/nite from Hyatt web page Unfortunately, the website is wrong according to a Hyatt phone rep I spoke with this morning. She stated it is Cat 5.
Hyatt BM was regularly running free night promotions (4th night free) to try and lure people in. Even pre-Covid during Christmas week, I'm pretty sure base rates were only around $300 a night. Baha Mar is a mega resort. The Hyatt section of Baha Mar alone has 1,800 rooms! They definitely aren't filling that many rooms by selling them at $600 a pop.

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar - REVIEW MASTER THREAD. I just had a recent paid short stay a few days ago myself. I am Globalist and also booked under Prive. I had booked the standard rate for a standard room. Was upgraded to a 1-bedroom balcony suite in the Reserve, which had a completely unobstructed view of the water. Quite nice actually.
The bad: Resort fee + service charges + a bazillion different taxes that are typical in the Bahamas increased our base room rate over 70%. Food anywhere in the hotel was unconscionably expensive. Pretty much all food service was also hit with a 12% VAT and 15% service charge.
1. Forum Jump. Hyatt | World of Hyatt - Grand Hyatt Baha Mar - Forgive me as I am new to the World of Hyatt. I don't know if this is true but I was reading that Grand Hyatt Baha Mar charges a $52.00 resort fee for each night and the fee is not included at the time of booking. From what I have read, the resort fees are due at check.
One-Bedroom Ocean View Residence, East Tower - $480 per night plus taxes. I opted for the One-Bedroom Fountain View in the West Tower (taxes add on an additional 10% to the prices above). Our room on the 20th floor was very clean, modern, and spacious, but no extra bathroom (just the full bathroom in the bedroom).
