Rhino Rally was a safari-themed attraction located at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, a theme park located in Tampa, Florida. The ride was opened on May 23, 2001, in the Nairobi section of the park and lasts between 5 and 6 minutes. The ride was closed on September 1, 2014, due to consistent maintenance issues.
The ride closed on October 31, 2006, after more than thirty years of operation. The ride was demolished throughout November 2006, with the track being scrapped. The trains, however, were sent to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for use on their Loch Ness Monster roller coaster. The new section "Jungala" has taken the place where Python once stood.
On May 12, 2016, a malfunction caused the ride to stop, stranding 24 riders 200 feet (61 m) in the air for up to two hours. Busch Gardens officials evacuated all of the 24 riders safely, and no injuries were reported. SheiKra reopened four days later. [24]
