Japanese font issue. Kumar Ganapathy. New Here, Oct 15, 2020. We are able to view Japanese fonts within the application, but after generating it as a PDF, it shows as #. We are using Adobe DC Reader version 20.X. We have tried installing Asina language font pack version 19.x, but still, the issue persists. any help would be greatly appreciated.
The X in a box indicates that the font doesn't have the correct glyph for that character. Japanese is written using a combination of kanji (Chinese characters) and kana (Japanese phonetic symbols). There are more than 2,000 kanji in common use, but many more with specialized uses, including personal names.
