Wondering what the best PS1 emulator would be for me. I’m relatively new to emulation, and have only used Dolphin so far. I’m currently playing through all of the Resident Evil games, from top to bottom in release order, as I had never experienced any of them before.

If you've heard rumors about a Sony Playstation 1 emulator being coded for the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube I'm here to tell you the rumors were true. Emu_kidid, Sepp256 and TehPola have been quietly working on a port of PCSX for both Nintendo consoles I've been privileged with being able to test out their work in progress emulator.
A: An app that gives the impression of it being an emulator, but actually isn't. In PDSX's case, it may look like it's emulating the BIOS of the PS1 on the DS or DSi console, but it's actually a near-faithful recreation/mimic of it, including the logo and menu screens (as you'll see in PDSX's source code).
Practically to make this work, the PSX emulator would have to work in a non-standard resolution of 256x192, which is the native DS screen, preferably in 256 colours mode, Win2DS would have to be forced to grab only that window, for example by changing the screen resolution of the PC what in turn will cause a *horrible mess*.
Best ps1 emulator available? I was trying to use chd games so it must have to be compatible with that format
