Such systems are composed of an integrated array of time synchronised navigation sensors and imaging sensors mounted on a mobile platform. [2]
Originally developed by Nokia as Nokia Maps, it was revamped in 2013 and released as HERE Maps for Windows Phone and the World Wide Web. After Nokia sold it, the HERE Maps application was released to the Android platform on 10 December 2014 and iOS the next year. It was rebranded to HERE WeGo in July 2016.
HERE Map Creator is a service launched in November 2012 to allow users to update the HERE map. The service is available for more than 100 countries and in 47 languages.
