KBS Media Ltd. (Korean: 케이비에스 미디어 주식회사; RR: Keibieseu Midieo Jusighwasa) is a South Korea-based television production company. It is a subsidiary of the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS).
KBS prime-time flagship dramas are broadcast on KBS2 at 21:50, generally with two series airing simultaneously, with each series airing on two consecutive nights: Monday–Tuesday and Wednesday–Thursday; and on KBS1 at 20:30 every weekdays and at 20:40 on Saturdays, following the weekend edition of KBS News 9.
On 1 October 1961 the first full-scale television station, HLKA-TV (now known as KBS 1TV), was established and began operation under the Ministry of Culture and Public Information. Following KBS was Tongyang Broadcasting Corporation 's TBC-TV which was launched in 1964, and ran until merged in 1980.
