Dorothy (stylized as DOROTHY) is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 2014. The band consists of vocalist Dorothy Martin, drummer Jake Hayden, guitarist Sam Bam Koltun, and bassist Eliot Lorango. They released their first project, a self-titled EP, in 2014.
The Spill Magazine noted some occasional genre experiments like country rock while also praising Martin's vocals. [7] Riff Magazine noted that the album mixes the "bombastic urgency" and "earnest classic rock" of Dorothy's previous albums, and described the album as "a triumphant battle cry and a return to form."
Matt Stereo of Stereo Champions said that "DOROTHY is loud, triumphant, confident arena rock at its absolute finest and ROCKISDEAD is not an album to be missed." [ 3 ] Shauna Brock of Hard Attack Magazine called the album "one of those albums that rock writers yearn for and should be held up as one of the best of the year."
