Associazione Calcio ChievoVerona, commonly referred to as ChievoVerona or simply Chievo (Italian pronunciation:, locally), is an Italian football club named after and representing Chievo, a suburb of 4,500 inhabitants in Verona, Veneto.

The club was formed in 1929, and the club's formal debut in an official league was on 8 November 1931. Before that time they played several amateur tournaments.

Its players became seriously attractive on the market, but only Manfredini and target man Bernardo Corradi actually left the club, both joining Lazio prior to the 2002–03 season.
