It was built behind to the former one which was demolished in the summer of 2010. The school was rededicated on April 18, 2011, marking Salisbury's first new high school in more than 30 years. The Aspen Institute Wye River Conference Centers are a set executive-retreat facilities run by the Aspen Institute on a campus overlooking the Wye River on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The site, parts of which were once known as the Wye River Plantation, was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Houghton, Jr. in 1979.
