The claim that it's commonly eaten in Taiwanese restaurant was not cited. As a Taiwanese myself I don't recall seeing it in any restaurant. Whoever wrote it probably mistook mantis shrimps or Ranina ranina, which are indeed eaten in Taiwan, for giant isopods. I've added a citation request.
