Yamcha (Japanese: ヤムチャ, Hepburn: Yamucha) is a fictional character in the Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama.He is first introduced as a desert bandit and an antagonist of Son Goku in chapter #7 "Yamcha and Pu'ar", published in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine on September 11, 1984, [1] alongside his constant companion Pu'ar.

On Kami's Lookout, Yamcha, Tien, Krillin and Chiaotzu want to get the same training as Goku did. So, Mr. Popo takes them to the Pendulum Room where the past, present, and future intertwine. Krillin and the others use the room and are sent to Planet Vegeta in the past, facing two powerful Saiyan warriors.
Yamcha is then brought back to life with the third wish. Another 130 days later, the Namekian Dragon Balls are used to revive both Tien and Chiaotzu, and are then used to teleport all of the native Namekians to a new planet. The Z Fighters then return to their peaceful lives, waiting patiently for Goku to return.
Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu and Piccolo all perish in the battle, with Piccolo's death causing both Kami and the Dragon Balls to fade from existence. When Goku finally arrives at the battlefield, he avenges his fallen friends by easily defeating Nappa before crippling him by breaking his spine in half.
As Goku trains harder for Namek, Yamcha, Tien, and Chiaotzu complete King Kai's first test. Even Piccolo helps out on the second test. Back on Namek, Frieza's men are working to revive Vegeta, but he's still unconscious from his battle with Zarbon. Meanwhile, Krillin is still on his way back to Gohan and Bulma.
