<p>For my UC application, I tried to put all of the college courses I had taken over the last four years, but for some reason, it there was no label “CL,” as it said that there should be. I just labeled them as “AP” in the drop down menu and next to the actual type-in, I put in parenthesis “CL.”
Hello, My Senior has 6 AP scores and they are not so great (3s and 4s). But they are good enough to receive the AP scholar with distinction award. On UC Berkeley admission site, it states that they look at applicants’ AP scores for their admission decision. My S is thinking not to report the scores. Turns out on the UC application, it says whether or not the applicant is ELC eligible. Class rank from the high school is not used for ELC. High schools submit course and grade records every three years to UC, which recalculates UC weighted-capped GPAs to determine a top 9% threshold for the high school.
The UC’s consider 13 areas of criteria in their application review and which includes: Number of, content of and performance in all A-G subject areas beyond the minimum requirements. Number of and performance in UC-approved honors, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate Higher Level and transferable college courses.
