Dawson's Book Shop was a bookstore and small press that operated in Los Angeles beginning in 1905. Founded by Ernest Dawson (d. 1947), it was started as a new bookstore, but Dawson soon shifted his attention to rare books, and was known from that time on as a rare book dealer. [1]

LAMP Community (originally the Los Angeles Men's Place) is a Los Angeles–based nonprofit organization located in Skid Row that seeks to permanently end homelessness, improve health, and build self-sufficiency among men and women living with severe mental illness. Urban Light (2008) is a large-scale assemblage sculpture by Chris Burden located at the Wilshire Boulevard entrance to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The 2008 installation consists of restored street lamps from the 1920s and 1930s.
The James Oviatt Building, commonly referred to as The Oviatt Building, is an Art Deco highrise in Downtown Los Angeles located on Olive Street, half a block south of 6th St. and Pershing Square. In 1983, the Oviatt Building was listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is also designated as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument.
