Bethel University is a private Baptist Christian university and seminary in Arden Hills, Minnesota, United States. It was founded in 1871 as a seminary and is affiliated with Converge . The university enrolls 5,600 students in undergraduate , graduate , and seminary programs.
Bethel Academy was the first Methodist school established in the United States west of the Appalachian Mountains. Established by Francis Asbury in 1790, [ 3 ] the school operated in present-day Jessamine County , Kentucky until 1805.
Bethel Academy also accepted its first tuition-paying students in 1836, both locals and boarders. Reverend Daniel Gould left his $842 fortune to the school when he died in 1843. Gould stipulated that the school be named for him; from then on it was known as Gould's Academy and eventually Gould Academy. [2]
Bethel Military Academy was a school near Warrenton, Virginia in Fauquier County. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It operated from 1867 until 1911 [ 3 ] and had several prominent alumni. The Virginia General Assembly passed a bill in 1901 incorporating the school.
The district serves the borough of Bernville, as well as the townships of Bethel, Jefferson, Penn, and Tulpehocken.The Tulpehocken Area School District also offers students an online alternative to cyber-charter school education called the Tulpehocken Virtual Academy. The district is one of the 500 public school districts of Pennsylvania.

Bethel is widely identified by most scholars with the modern Arab village of Beitin, situated in the central part of the West Bank. [4]Among the earliest proponents of this identification was biblical scholar and traveler Edward Robinson, in his work Biblical Researches in Palestine (1838–52).
