The Magic Mirror belongs to the Evil Queen, who constantly asks it—usually in a rhyming phrase—who is the fairest in the land. When the mirror eventually identifies her young stepdaughter Snow White as the fairest, the Queen jealously tries to have her killed, first via her huntsman, then several personal attempts concluding with a poisoned apple.
The episode has Walt Disney handing over the hosting duties to the Magic Mirror, who promptly decides to do a show devoted to the Disney villains. Hans Conried plays the Magic Mirror from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and would reprise the role in many Disney television specials, including the 1977 follow-up episode "Disney's Greatest Villains."
The Magic Mirror explains the importance of villains and introduces clips of various Disney villains while also providing biased, yet humorous, commentary. Most of the villains received a good-sized clip from their respective films, although some were featured in very brief 30-second segments.
