Sarek National Park is situated in the Jokkmokk Municipality, Norrbotten County, Sweden, north of the Arctic Circle, 50 km (31.07 mi) from the Norwegian border.. The area of the park is 1,977 km 2 (763 sq mi) and it is adjacent to the national parks Padjelanta (in the west) and Stora Sjöfallet (in the north).

The Rapa Valley (Swedish: Rapadalen, Sami: Ráhpavágge) is a 35 kilometres (22 mi) long valley in Sweden and the largest in the Sarek National Park, part of the Laponian area. [1] The Rapa River runs through the valley, which is surrounded by steep mountains. It's Laitaure river delta is one of the major tourist attractions for hikers in the area.
Skierfe is a mountain in the south-eastern parts of Sarek National Park in Sweden. Its western cliff face is almost vertical and goes down to Rapa River and the Laitaure delta. The mountain is 1,179 m (3,868 ft) high. [1] Skierfe is known for the spectacular point of view one can get from the top in good weather.
95% of the area is protected as national parks or nature reserves. It consists of the national parks Muddus, Sarek, Padjelanta and Stora Sjöfallet, and the nature reserves Sjaunja and Stubba. [3] The remaining 5% are located in the areas of Sulitelma, Tjuoltadalen, and Rapadalen (part of which is in the Sarek park).
Pierikpakte is a mountain in the Äpar massif and centrally located in Sarek National Park. The mountain rises to 1789 m above sea level. The mountain has an easily recognizable profile as seen from Pielavalta, one of the highest situated large highland plains in Sweden, at 820 m.
However its mountain peak is the 3:rd highest mountain peak in Sweden, because the two highest peaks in Sweden belongs to the mountain Kebnekaise at 2,097 (North Summit) and 2090 meters (South Summit). The mountain is located close to the eastern border of Sarek National Park, about 23 kilometres (14 mi) southwest of Suorva.
