The entry fee is about 400 Euro. As in rallying, a co-driver can be on board, a quite unique possibility to take a passenger within a circuit racing contest. Also, those two drivers can share a drive, which reduces costs for amateurs. Championship points are awarded according to amateur rules, depending on the number of entrants in the same class.
Nürburgring 24h track (Nordschleife+GP Circuit without Mercedes-Arena) The 2024 Nürburgring 24 Hours (officially known as ADAC Ravenol 24h Race at the Nürburgring Nordschleife for sponsorship reasons) was the 52nd running of the Nürburgring 24 Hours, which took place over 1–2 June 2024.

The 2024 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie is the 47th season of the German endurance series (formerly VLN) run at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and fifth run as the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS). The VLN was founded in 1977 by several motorsport clubs, which are members of ADAC or Deutscher Motorsport Verband (DMV), in order to join forces. Previously, each club had run its own touring car racing event on the Nürburgring, lasting for 3.5 to 6 hours, with about 150 cars and 400 drivers taking part.

Before the race got underway, there was a TV segment in which most of the drivers introduced themselves to the camera, complimenting the new circuit and talking about their own success at the Nürburgring. Many of them appeared light-hearted. The exhibition race was won by Ayrton Senna, seen here leading into the first corner.
