Ann M. Williams (born 1968) is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives who has represented the 11th District since 2011. [1] The district includes the Chicago neighborhoods of West Lakeview, Roscoe Village and North Center, as well as parts of Lincoln Park and Lincoln Square.
It has been represented by Democrat Ann Williams since January 12, 2011. The district was previously represented by Democrat Kathleen C. Moore for a few weeks. The district includes parts of the Chicago neighborhoods of Albany Park, Lake View, Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, North Center, and Uptown. [1] [2]
Incumbent Republican governor Bill Clements did not run for re-election, so the election pitted Democrat Ann Richards against Republican Clayton Williams. Richards narrowly defeated Williams on Election Day, winning 49.5% of the vote to Williams' 46.9%.

Williams ran in a Democratic primary for governor in 2022, and lieutenant governor in 2018, but fell short both times. He was reelected public advocate in 2021 with nearly 76% of the vote.
