Prineville Airport (IATA: PRZ [2], FAA LID: S39) is a public use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) southwest of the central business district of Prineville, in Crook County, Oregon, United States. [1] According to the FAA's National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2009–2013, it is classified as a general aviation airport. [3]

Prineville is a city in and the seat of Crook County, Oregon, United States. [5] It was named for the first merchant to establish businesses in the present location, Barney Prine . The population was 10,429 at the 2020 census .
The airport was transferred to the City of North Bend in 1947 as military surplus property. The first airline flights were West Coast DC-3s in 1947; successor Hughes Airwest pulled out in 1979. The City of North Bend transferred management of the airport to the Oregon International Port of Coos Bay in July 1999.
