The Mendocino Transit Authority (MTA) is a public bus system that serves Ukiah, the Mendocino Valley, and coastal regions of Mendocino County, California. MTA began service in 1976 under a joint powers agreement between the County of Mendocino and the cities of Fort Bragg, Point Arena, Ukiah and Willits. [1]

Amtrak began service to Roanoke on October 31, 2017. [12] In December 2017 the DRPT started the Virginia Breeze, a state bus service operated by Megabus for areas not served by rail. As of May 2023 there are four daily routes that terminate at Washington Union Station, with stops at a few other Amtrak Virginia stations. [13] [14]
The city of Norfolk had long been served by passenger railroads, including Norfolk & Western at Norfolk Terminal Station (demolished 1963), and then by N&W and Amtrak at Lambert's Point station.
