Stations reopened as Heritage railways or Luas stops continue to be included in this list and some have been linked. Some stations have been reopened to passenger traffic. Some lines are still in use for freight and mineral traffic.
Stradbally Woodland Railway, County Laois; Waterford Suir Valley Railway, County Waterford, running a narrow gauge railway for 10 km (6.2 mi) from Kilmeaden Station along the former mainline route from Waterford to Mallow.
