Wikipedia:Dark mode (gadget) - Under the "Appearance" section of the "Gadgets" tab, select the checkbox for "Dark mode toggle". Once checked, dark mode is available to toggle in the preferences portlet, located in the Upper Right-Hand corner of the page. @Volker E. (WMF): With Vector, and "use legacy vector" selected, the left navigation area (just below the Wikipedia logo) as well as the entire bottom section (where the privacy policy, about wikipedia, disclaimers and so are contained) still have white-ish backgrounds (but the text appears to switch to colors designed to be on black/dark).
