Hobby Japan Co., Ltd. (株式会社ホビージャパン, Kabushiki gaisha Hobī Japan) is a Japanese publishing company known for publishing and releasing books, magazines, light novels, games, and collectibles. Founded in 1969, the company owns and distributes such publications as the eponymous Hobby Japan magazine, as well as Uchusen.
A manga adaptation illustrated by Sorahiko Mizushima began serialization on Hobby Japan's Comic Fire website on July 2, 2021, with the first volume being released on June 1, 2022. [1] Three tankōbon volumes have been released as of October 2024.
It was later aquired by Hobby Japan, which began publishing it as a light novel series under their HJ Bunko imprint on December 1, 2021. [3] A promotional video featuring narration by Reina Ueda was posted on the official Hobby Japan YouTube account in September 2022 to promote the release of the fourth volume. [1]

HJ Bunko (HJ文庫) is a publishing label affiliated with the Japanese publishing company Hobby Japan. It was established in July 2006 and is a light novel label that is aimed at a young adult male readership. Hobby Japan publishes a bimonthly light novel magazine titled Charano!.
After acquiring the magazine's trademark from Asahi Sonorama, Hobby Japan revived Uchusen in 2008 as a quarterly publication. [3] [4] [5] The first issue of this new edition of Uchusen, published on April 1, 2008, continued the numbering of the magazine's original run by being numbered as Uchusen 's 120th issue. [3]
An anthology comic of Queen's Blade was published by Hobby Japan with four volumes released between April 25, 2007 and February 25, 2008. [ 41 ] [ 42 ] A manga adaptation centered on Leina illustrated by Kabao Kikkawa was serialized in the October 2008 issue of Media Factory 's seinen manga magazine Monthly Comic Alive . [ 43 ]
Initially, Izushiro started his work on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō back in 2015. Hobby Japan eventually acquired Izushiro's work and began publishing the print edition as a light novel in February 2017. J-Novel Club licensed the light novel series for English releases in March 2019.
