The 2010 Sucrogen Townsville 400 was the eighth race meeting of the 2010 V8 Supercar Championship Series. It featured Races 15 and 16 of the series and was held on the weekend of 9–11 July at the Townsville Street Circuit, in Townsville, in Queensland, Australia. It was the second running of the Townsville 400 street race.

The Townsville Showground is located on the southern side of Castle Hill and adjacent to Ingham Road approximately 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the city centre: it is bounded by Ingham Road, Kings Road, Woolcock Street and Parkes Street with the main entrance accessed from Parkes Street off an access easement which runs alongside the railway line.

Independent (unaffiliated to a governing body) greyhound racing took place at the Park Road Stadium from 24 April 1987 until March 1991. [2] The owner was Chris Roynon and racing was held every Tuesday and Friday. The hare system was an 'Inside Sumner' and the race distances were 250, 415 and 595 metres.
The race moved with the MGRA and when the North Melbourne track closed it switched to Olympic Park but when Olympic Park closed it was held at Sandown Park for two years in 1997 and 1998, while the club established its new home at the Meadows.
