Moosa Bin Shamsher was born on 15 October 1945 to a Bengali Muslim family of Mullahs in Faridpur, Bengal Presidency, the family was middle-class. He was third son in a family of four sons and two sisters. [2] [3] His father, Shamsher Ali Mollah, was a civil servant of the British Raj. [4]
